Curriculum

The Sherwell Valley Curriculum has been designed in order to allow all pupils to develop personally, socially, emotionally and academically through our school values and subject progression. Children are taught to dig deeper and develop a real understanding of key concepts, to make links, build on ideas and develop their skills and knowledge in a progressive way. We place great emphasis on developing all aspects of our pupils and know that this makes a significance difference for them, their families and the wider community by having a positive contribution in society, both locally and in the wider world.

We have 3 concepts running through all subject areas, Diversity and Adversity, Continuity and Change and Locality and Context. We believe these will support the children to flourish throughout the curriculum alongside our 5 Values: Respect, Aspiration, Collaboration, Responsibility and Resilience.
