At Sherwell Valley Primary School, we know that creating children who are able to read and who choose to read is one of the most important things we can do. Children who regularly choose to read for pleasure are statistically more likely to succeed academically throughout primary education and beyond. 

At Sherwell Valley, we use a programme called Accelerated Reader (AR) to support the development of our children's reading skills. Accelerated Reader is an online reading platform that allows children to read books that are appropriately challenging for them.  Children take a quiz after completing each book to check their comprehension. To access your child's Accelerated Reader account you must use this bespoke link:

(Please note: You must use this link as it takes you to our bespoke platform. Your child's username and password will not work if you Google 'Accelerated Reader Login'.) 

Your child will have a password and username sent home by their teacher which we recommend you make a note of and keep safe. If you ever forget your password or get locked out of your AR Account, you will need to contact the school admin team.

Otherwise, if you have any issues with logging in and quizzing, please contact your child's class teacher (through Class Dojo or Tapestry) or the school office, and they will be able to support you.
