Over the last half term, we have been busy installing the finishing touches to our new woodland cabin. The cabin was the last item funded from the Tesco ‘Bags of Help’ grant, which the school was awarded this time last year. It was assembled by several parent volunteers on our last ‘Outdoor Project Day’.

The cabin is big enough to fit a class of 30 children and will help teachers and children to make the most of our outdoor space no matter what the weather or time of year.

A huge thank you to FOSV for sponsoring a wood burning stove from Anevay. This will provide heat during the cold, winter months, also heat drinks or even cook a tasty treat!

Another big thank you to Greendale Flooring, Torquay, who have kindly sponsored a beautiful wood-effect laminate floor. This will preserve the life of the original cabin floor, gives a warm, cosy feeling and allows muddy footprints to be quickly cleaned away!!

The cabin has already been used by several classes and has proven very popular with the children.
