A big thank you to all of the parents, children, FOSV and members of staff who came to help with our outdoor projects on Saturday 19thMarch. It was a fantastic day with over 50 volunteers – digging, planting and building all around the grounds.

By the Junior Playground we were able to create our own mini summer wildflower meadow , an area for the school chickens with a new coop, planters and benches for the children to sit on. By the Infant Playground we created a bee friendly garden with fruit trees and a colourful SVPS logo. We also planted a new wildlife friendly hedge behind KS1 classrooms and also started to level the ground ready for our new composter.

All of these projects were funded by a grant awarded to the school by Tesco, as part of their Bags Of Help initiative.
