Change4Life has returned with a new campaign which encourages parents to “Be Food Smart” and take control of their children’s diet, especially at breakfast time. The new “Be Food Smart” App highlights the amount of sugar, saturated fat and salt found in everyday food and drink. This free App works by scanning the barcode of products, encourages families to choose healthier options and includes ‘food-detective’ activities for children and mini missions for the whole family, as well as specific guidance on how to be sugar, saturated fat and salt ‘smart.’ There is also an excellent example recipe resource now including lunch boxes.
