World Book Day

Thursday 5th March marked our annual World Book Day celebrations. This year, we enjoyed a celebration of David Walliams and his hugely popular books, as well as an enjoyment of many other authors and texts too. Book character costumes were outstanding and the children and staff looked fantastic and inspiring! In line with the David Walliams theme, we saw many boys in dresses, lots of Gangsta Grannies and some horrifying Demon Dentists roaming the school.

After lunch, staff and pupils took part in a football match with everyone playing in dresses (from ‘The Boy in the Dress’). It was a very close match in the end and finished as a worthy draw – phew! The rest of the school cheered on from the sidelines and it was a fun highlight to end the day.

Thanks to parents, staff and children for making the day as enjoyable as it always is.
