It’s the time of year when our children begin to harvest some of the fruit and vegetables they have successfully grown in the school vegetable patch, before the summer holidays begin.  On Tuesday, the children in ‘Ground Force’, the after-school outdoors’ club, pulled up the garlic and onions that they had planted last autumn. They also dug up the rest of the potatoes, that we planted as part of the National Potato Council’s growing challenge.

These will now be used in the school kitchen over the coming weeks for garlic bread and lots of other yummy treats!
