Outdoor Project Weekend

Last weekend several parents kindly gave up their Saturday to undertake various outdoor projects around the school, with the aim of making the grounds a more exciting place for the children to play and learn. Thanks to FOSV for their help and support, we achieved far more than we had hoped for.

The volunteers constructed a new musical instrument in the woodland out of old scaffold poles, re-dug and planted up the SVPS next to the infant playground, planted several trees and flowers around the school, erected a new bird house constructed by one of our parent helpers, created a new mud kitchen for nursery, painted the Year 2 playhouse, finished off the recycled bottle greenhouse and dug in the final raised beds in the vegetable patch.

Thank you very much to all of those who helped out on the day. It was a great success.
