The Boys and Girls football teams went off to Keynsham, Bristol representing Devon in the English Schools Under 11’s South regional finals. Both sides did amazingly well with the boys winning 2 and drawing 2 without conceding a single goal. The girls also won 2 and drew 2 but unfortunately lost their semi final. They played

Having already secured the League championship, our Year 3 and 4 side travelled to Roselands to play Curledge Street Academy in the Cup Semi-Final.  A really gripping game – with the Curledge Street ‘keeper performing like Joe Hart – was settled by a long distance strike from Harry S. The boys will now play either Oldway

For the Civic Award, Keely has supported Rowcroft Hospice. She sold raffle tickets for over 40 prizes which she managed to source!  Keely has raised £240. The Year 5 and 6 Girl’s football team have won the Large Schools’ South Football league. They played 8 leagues matches winning 6 and drawing 2. Top scorers have been Leah H, Molly S and Oriana ZS. Mr L is delighted and looks forward to finals night on Friday 1st May when the girls will

World Book Day

Diamond Anniversary

Monday 2nd March marked the 60th anniversary of the “Official” opening of our school – which was originally named Shiphay Junior School.  We held a whole school assembly where Mr K told the children a little about 1955 – the year Winston Churchill resigned and Ruth Ellis was the last woman “hanged” in Great Britain. 

RSPB Big Schools Bird Watch

On Wednesday morning, children from each class in KS2 wrapped themselves up warm, put on their boots and braved the icy cold weather to take part in the RSPB’s Big Schools Bird Watch survey.
